Local Scholarships
There are a handful of local scholarships that are available to students in our district that are supported by our local families and programs. These scholarships were created to help support a student that fits the criteria of the scholarship description. Applications will be reviewed by a committee and the scholarship will be awarded to the nominated student. Please contact Brittany McConnell for an application and submit it by April 7th, 2026.
General Scholarships
This scholarship honors Freddy Miranda, who made a lasting impact on hundreds of students during his work in higher education across Iowa.
- Students must attend a high school that is an Iowa ACAC member as of March 1, 2026.
- Their chosen college must also be an Iowa ACAC member.

The Abner Masonic Lodge Endowed Scholarship is a one-time, $1,000 award designed to assist students who are leaders in their community in continuing their education in 2-year or 4-year colleges or universities, skilled trade, or certificate programs. This application includes an essay on leadership and service.
Eligibility
Applicants must satisfy the following criteria to be eligible to apply for this scholarship:
- Be a senior at Lone Tree Public High School
- Plan to attend a 2-year or 4-year college or university, or a skilled trade or certificate program
- Be a leader in your school and/or community
Applications for the 2026 Scholarship are due on or before February 28, 2026, at 5 PM. Completed applications can be emailed to csmith@lonetreecsd.org or mailed to Collin Smith at 303 S. Devoe Street, Lone Tree, IA 52755.

The Ada Woo and William Ching Endowed Scholarship is a one-time, $2,000 award designed to assist first-generation college/university students who are pursuing a degree in a STEM field. This application includes an essay on the impact these funds will have.
Eligibility
Applicants must satisfy the following criteria to be eligible to apply for this scholarship:
- Be a senior at a Johnson County public high school
- Achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Be a first-generation college student
- Plan to attend a 2-year or 4-year college or university
- Plan to major in a STEM field
Applications are due by February 28th, 2026.

Beta Sigma Psi will be providing three $2,000 scholarships and one $1,000 scholarship to men attending Iowa State University in the Fall of 2026. Applications are due by July 1st, 2026.

Each year, $2,500 scholarships are awarded to high school seniors who reside in the geographic area served by the BBB: the Greater Des Moines region, the Quad Cities region, and the Siouxland Region.
The Student of Integrity Award scholarships are awards that recognize students that personify values, leadership, and integrity.
Applications are due by January 30, 2026.

- Design & work on a community improvement project, using our checklist as a guide.
- OPTIONAL: Fill out a strategy plan/ feedback form for additional guidance and suggestions. Deadline: March 9, 2026. Our email is always open for questions and feedback even beyond the strategy plan deadline date.
- Submit your final application by April 13, 2026 at 11:59 Mountain Time (see FAQ’s & Details page for link and details on submission requirements). If you have any questions regarding the application, you can email scholarship[at]honorsgraduation.com for assistance.
- We will select 5 winners to receive $10,000 tuition scholarships, with the top project receiving an additional $5,000 to continue funding their project and maximize impact. We select applications based on their completion, seriousness, and viability.

The Cameron Impact Scholarship is impact-driven and open to all applicants who meet the GPA and citizenship requirements, regardless of race, socioeconomic status, religion, sexual orientation or any other background factors. Integrity, intelligence, motivation, work ethic, and willingness to serve others are the strongest indicators of a worthy educational investment.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
· Accepting applications for the Class of 2027 - JUNIORS;
· have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.7 or higher;
· be a citizen of the United States.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: MAY 1, 2026 at 12PM PT (NOON) - OR - when we reach 3,000 eligible and complete applications - whichever occurs first.
Full ride, four-year, merit scholarship that can be used at any accredited college or university in the U.S. Any high school junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall of 2027 and is an American citizen or permanent resident.

Ten $4,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors planning to attend a four-year college or university. Each scholarship will be distributed in annual increments of $1,000 over four years.
Ten $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors planning to attend a community college or trade school. Each scholarship will be distributed in annual increments of $1,000 over two years. An extension option of up to $2,000 is available for students who transfer to a four-year college or university.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need by providing documentation of their Student Aid Index (SAI) number from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Financial need will be one criteria used for judging.
Additional application requirements include uploading a copy of their transcript that includes the fall 2025 semester and submitting a 500-word essay describing a significant personal success.
Eligibility requirements:
- Be classified as a first-time, full-time incoming student who plans to attend a four-year college/university or community college/trade school for the 2026–2027 academic year.
- Be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident whose home address is located in one of the following counties:
- Iowa: Any county
- Illinois: Carroll, Jo Daviess, Rock Island, Stephenson, Whiteside
- Wisconsin: Columbia, Crawford, Dane, Dodge, Grant, Green, Iowa, Jefferson, Lafayette, Richland, Rock, Sauk, Walworth, Waukesha
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application.
Applications are due by February 25, 2026.
- February
A total of 26 scholarships are available and can be used for those attending any four-year college or university and for students planning to attend a community college and then transferring to finish their degree.
- A student must currently be a high school senior.
- The student’s parents or guardians must be members of Eastern Iowa Light & Power Cooperative.
- Children of Cooperative employees and directors are eligible.
Must submit the following:
- A completed application form.
- One letter of recommendation from a teacher or school administrator.
- A 250-word explanation from the student detailing their career goals and how the Cooperative scholarship will help them meet those goals.
- A transcript of the student’s high school grades (does not need to be official).
- A wallet-size, color head and shoulders photograph of the student.
