West High School is a suburban school located in Iowa City, home to the University of Iowa. West High is one of three high schools in the Iowa City Community School District. West High has approximately 1,550 total students, with approximately 100 teaching faculty. West High is a high-achieving academic, athletic, and extracurricular school consistently named one of the best high schools in the state of Iowa. Our demographics represent a significant high-achieving population, in addition to a large population of ELL and/or low-income families.
